Moncton Housing Sales Update

Moncton Housing Sales Update

If a picture is worth a thousand words then what is the value of a graph?

I've prepared this graph to illustrate housing sales in the City of Moncton as reported on MLS® during the last five years.

There is a good reason that housing sales are down. New Brunswick, through tax thievery, has increased assessed values of homes.

In their view the world economic situation does not apply to New Brunswick. When real estate values are tanking our are rising.

People think that their houses are worth more than they really are. It is all a crock of dog dung and the NB government ostriches need to take their heads out of the sand.

FYI - The average dollar values of reported Moncton real estate sales is stable and far from "tanking". Understand that local real estate markets are strongly influenced by local conditions like consumer confidence, economic activity, employment and population migration.

Fact - The majority of existing housing in Moncton reported sold indicate a sale price greater than their current assessed value. (And some that sell for less than their assessed value.)

This year the public will be able to verify this for themselves when Service New Brunswick begins entering sale price information on their website.
