Program helps promote healthy relationships
Published Saturday November 22nd, 2008

Crossroads for Women has developed a project that promotes healthy relationships among teenagers in high school in Westmorland and Albert Counties.
In a news release, Crossroads said the program is designed to help teenagers "differentiate between healthy relationships based on respect and understanding and toxic relationships based on control and power."
The program is part of an overall project called: Recognizing the signs of family violence and promoting healthy relationships." It is funded by local donations and Status of Women Canada.
The project's second objective is to offer training sessions to front-line workers who are in contact with women and children living with family violence.
