New Brunswick shoppers should brace themselves for busy stores and malls on Saturday.

That's the only day this weekend most retailers will be open in recognition of Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Champlain Place, Highfield Square, downtown retailers, stores at the Wheeler Park Power Centre and grocery stores in Metro Moncton will close on both Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Regular hours are scheduled for Saturday at most retailers and grocers, except the two Wal-Mart locations in Metro and the Atlantic Superstore on east Main Street, which will have extended hours and stay open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

All stores revert back to regular hours on Monday.

Municipal, provincial and federal government offices will be closed through the weekend and also Monday. Most doctor offices are also closed through the weekend and Monday, but several after-hours clinics will be open.

There is good news for those who require their daily caffeine fix. Tim Hortons will be open every day at all locations not inside shopping malls.

Meanwhile, Alcool NB Liquor (ANBL) has revised its hours for the long weekend.

All 47 corporate stores will be closed on Good Friday. All corporate stores will be open regular hours on Saturday. All corporate stores normally open on Sundays will be closed on Easter.

All corporate stores will be open on Monday, but will operate on reduced hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

ANBL's 70 agency outlets will be open during the weekend, but hours may vary from location to location.
