Gas prices are expected to fall in New Brunswick this week by a margin even slimmer than last week's 0.7 cent decrease.

In fact, the price will likely remain virtually unchanged with a drop of 0.2 cents forecasted by industry observers.

Drivers of diesel powered vehicles, however, are receiving significant relief again with an at least three-cent drop in prices.

Last week, the price of regular self-serve gasoline dropped 0.71 cents per litre to 126.56 cents per litre.

Mid-grade self-serve dropped to 129.95 cents per litre, while premium self-serve dropped to 133.34 cents.

Diesel was set at 137.37, down 5.87 cents per litre from last week.

Furnace oil also saw a hefty drop, down 5.64 cents per litre to 118.64 cents per litre.

Propane showed the only increase on the night, up 0.22 cents per litre to 110.45.

The N.B. benchmark rate is based on the average daily price at the N.Y. Harbor division of the N.Y. Mercantile Exchange. Prices listed here do not include the up to two-cent per litre delivery charge.
