Studio 14 exhibits art from around the world as well as local artists including: David Silverberg, Yvon Gallant, Romeo Savoie, Alex Colville and any more. Also feature Moncton's only dealer of Inuit Art from Northern Canada. Wool art from Denmark, hand-crafted African masks and jewellery, Russian Nesting Dolls and many others. The Assumption Gallery is holding an exhibit by photographic artist Maurice Henri of Moncton titled The Burdened Spirit until Friday, Oct. 31. The Assumption Gallery is located at 770 Main St., on the ground floor of the Assumption Place building. Opening hours are from Monday-Friday, from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Sandstones Gallery is exhibiting the work of Freeda LeBlanc until Friday, Oct. 31. A vernissage will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sandstones is located on the ground floor of the Blue Cross Centre. Galerie d'art du Centre des arts et de la culture -- Art an Culture Center is presenting the acrylique, pastel and oil work of Florine Auffrey during the month of October. The gallery is located at 331 Acadie Ave. Dieppe. Open from Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m.

The Moncton Gallery is exhibiting the work of Moncton photographer Jean Bertheleme until Thursday, Nov. 6. The Moncton Gallery is located in the lobby of City Hall at 655 Main St. and is open Monday-Friday, from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

The Moncton Public Library is displaying art pieces of 20 different artists to be auctioned at the Magnum Opus Gala Art Auction during the month of October. The library is located at 644 Main St. and is open Tuesday to Thursday from 9 a.m-8:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

The Irish Room, located in historic Thomas Williams House is open every Friday from 9 a.m.-noon and from 1-3 p.m. and houses genealogical and local history materials related to the Irish in southeastern NB. Heron Bay La Terrasse is located at 154 Church St. Over 70 art pieces between Kim Brooks, Rene Collins, Gerald Cyr, Patricia Gildart, Pauline Guay, Sandi Komst, Cathy Linfield, John Mutch, Reg Noel, Grace Ward and our resident artist Dave Skyrie. Hours of operation are Tuesday-Friday, from 11 a.m.-6:30 p.m. and Saturday, from 1-5 p.m.

The Capitol Theatre Art Gallery is holding an exhibition by artist Bonny Hill entitled Surface/Image until Thursday, Oct. 31. Michel The gallery is located in the Irving Lobby of the Capitol Theatre, 811 Main St. Entrance is free of charge.

London-Wul Fibre Arts is hosting the fibre-based works of Moncton native Joanna Close. The exhibit features a series of panels that explore geography and landscape. The Moncton Art Society Gallery is currently exhibiting the work of artist of the month Dorice Richard in its gallery, located in Highfield Square past the Atlantic Lottery booth and Café C'est La Vie. CBC Georges Goguen Art Gallery is presenting paintings and sculptures by Arcade Albert until Thursday, Oct. 30. The gallery is located at 250 University Ave. Open hours: Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

The Gabrièle in Shediac is featuring the most recent collection of paintings Adrienne Goodbout. Other artists this month include Michel Robichaud, Roger Vautour, Paul Thebeault. Heron Bay Gallery is showing several new works from its staple of artists including Amber Lounder, Julie Boulianne, Adrien Caissie, Paul Duplessis, Dave Skyrie, Pauline Guay, Jeanne LeBlanc Mullin and Lise Richard. The gallery is preparing to host MAX-4, a Maritime-wide juried art exhibition and competition during the month of October and is open to all visual artists residing in a Maritime province. UNB Art Centre has a call for artwork for the exhibition entitled The Future of Peace to open on International Women's Day Sunday, March 8, 2009. The Beaverbrook Art Gallery unveils the first of its autumn exhibition line up with Docent's Choice: Canadian Acquisitions from the Past 20 Years and is on exhibition until Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009. The Gallery is looking for those wishing to consider becoming a Beaverbrook Art Gallery Docent. There is a application form to be completed. The New Brunswick Crafts Council Fine Craft Gallery is presenting Offerings, a solo exhibitions by potter Margaret Ann Galbraith until Friday, Nov. 7. The New Brunswick Crafts Council Fine Craft Gallery is located in Room 103 of the Charlotte Street Arts Centre in Fredericton.

The Cumberland Health Care Art Gallery is exhibiting the works from the Mixed Palette art group from the Pugwash Wallace area until late October. Artists include: Ethel Rose Blatch, Heber Colburne, Jean Conrad, Heather Cunningham, June Frauzel Thurber, Kathrinka Hudson, Patricia McWade, Bala Mehta and Lorna Stubbert.
