
Riverview's St. John the Baptist Church hosts fall bazaar today

St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, 28 Woolridge St., Riverview, will hold its fall bazaar today from 10 a.m., with bake, sweater, jewelry, plant and treasure tables to pick from.
There will also be a soup, sandwiches and desert lunch.

Dinner theatre
A dinner theatre will be held at the Dan Bohan Family Center, 5 Fatima Dr., Riverview, today starting at 6 p.m. and tomorrow starting at 5 p.m.
The theatre group directed by Helen Vaughn will perform "Cool Santa."

Proceeds will go to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
Gospel concert
A Gospel music concert will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at the Hillsborough Kiwanis Centre, with music by the Gospel Way Bluegrass of Burtt's Corner, N.H., the A&W's Judy Ayles of Salisbury, Kim Wilmot of Curryville, Mac Wilmot of Lower Coverdale and Norm Babineau of Weldon.
Admission is by donation, with proceeds to go to the Hillsborough Schools Bus campaign.
Organized by the DownHome Gospel Music Group.
Anniversary service
The Lakeville United Church, 1974 Shediac Rd., will celebrate its 130th anniversary with a special service tomorrow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Claudia Keller conducting the service.
A time of fellowship will follow.
Craft sale
St. Patrick's Family Centre, 34 Providence St., Moncton, is inviting everyone to "get your Christmas Shopping done early" at its fall craft sale Wednesday from 11:3O a.m. to 3 p.m. at the centre.

The Wesley Memorial United Church, 168 Cameron St., Moncton, will hold a pancake breakfast Saturday, Nov. 14, from 8 to 11 a.m. serving pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, homemade beans, toast, juice, tea and coffee.
Cost is a free-will offering.

Annual tea

Musical evening
The Bethel Presbyterian Church, 600 Coverdale Rd., Riverview, will host a musical evening Saturday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. featuring Ivan and Vivian Hicks and the Sussex Avenue Fiddlers, Bethel's Choir, Catharine Cook, Elizabeth Matson and Geraldine Charters.
Admission is $10 at the door with proceeds for use for church purposes. There will be light refreshments served.

Ordination service
Eglise Bonne Nouvelle de Dieppe will host the service of ordination for its pastor, Paulin Blaise Ngweth, on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 3 p.m. at the Polyvalente Mathieu-Martin, Champlain Street, Dieppe.
Special speaker is Luc-Joel Berger of Tracadie with translation by Rev. Eugéne Lanctin.
Other participants include Rev. Patrick Deneut, director of development for the Union of French Baptist Churches in Canada, and Robert Losier, President of the Association of Atlantic French Baptist Churches.
There will be an opportunity to bring greetings after the service.
Gospel concert
A Gospel concert will be held at the Moncton Faith Victory Church, 229 Collishaw St., Moncton, on Sunday, Nov. 15, at 6:30 p.m. featuring Judy and the Boys, The Eagles Family, the St. John's United Church Men's Quartet, For the Cross and special fiddle music by Erika Murray.
A freewill offering to be collected in support of the Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life team "Breast Friends."
Special service
The Lower Coverdale United Church, 1402 Route 114, will hold a special service Sunday, Nov. 15, at 2:30 p.m. with the gospel group For the Cross performing.
A free will offering will be accepted. Refreshments and fellowship will follow.

Passion Play
The Oberammergau Passion Play, which chronicles Christ's final passion and is performed every 10 years, takes place in the Village of Oberammergau, Germany, from May until September 2010.
The original performance dates back to 1634 when the village was spared the black plague for which the villagers vowed they would give a play in honour of the life of Christ every 10 years.

St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, Irishtown, will be celebrating mass for the dedication and unveiling of the "Raise the Roof" Memorial Plaque on Monday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m.

Book study
The Shack by Paul Young will be the subject of a three-night book study at St. John's United Church, 75 Alma St., Moncton, later this month.
Leadership will be provided by the minister, the Rev. Aaron Billard, and minister emeritus, Rev. Dr. Doug MacEachern.
This popular novel will help raise a number of questions for discussion at the study sessions Nov. 16, Nov. 23 and an as-yet-to-be-determined third date.

Celtic Tenors perform

Christ in Action Church teaches the principles leading to the healing of the human as a whole (body, soul and spirit) by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
