Pancake breakfast

A Pancake Breakfast featuring gourmet pancakes with real maple syrup, sausage, hash browns and beverage will be served at St. Paul's United Church's annual pancake breakfast on Saturday, May 10. Ticket prices are $6 for adults, $3 for children under 12, and $20 per family.

St. Paul's is located at 404 Cleveland Avenue Riverview.

Pentecost rally

Annual Pentecost rally on Saturday, May 10, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Daniel Bohan Family Center on Fatima Drive in Riverview. All are welcome.

Gospel music

A gospel music concert will be held at Hillsbrough Kiwanis center on May 11 at 7 p.m. The concert will feature Judy & the Boys, The MoJo's, James MacLaughlin and Rhonda Hamilton.

Admission is by donation. Proceeds go towards the Hillsbrough mini bus campaign. Tax receipts are available from the Home and School Association for $20 and over.

Annual meeting

The Birch Hill Cemetery annual meeting will be held Monday, May 12, at 8 p.m. at the Lutz Mountain Meeting House (3143 Mountain Rd.) Everyone is welcome.

Interactive dinner theatre

The Moncton Christian Academy presents it's annual Interactive Dinner Theatre entitled "Mayhem In Mayville", on Thursday, May 15 and Friday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m. with doors opening at 6.

Gaither concert

Riverview Baptist Church will be travelling by bus to Saint John on May 17 to see Gaither in concert. Tickets cost $90 and include the ticket to the show and a seat on the bus. Contact Pastor Jonathan or Heidi Gorham at 386-7858.

Cemetery meeting

Mounteagle Cemetery will hold their annual meeting at the Second North River Community Hall on Thursday, May 29 at 8 p.m.

The executive directors meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. This meating is very important and all concerned parties are encouraged to attend.

Women alive

Women Alive is coming to Moncton May 23 to 24. The event will be held at the Moncton Wesleyan Church, located at 945 St. George Blvd. Registration is available online at womealive.org or by calling 1-800-387-4753. Cost is $89 with the price including Friday evening and Saturday Conference as well as Saturday lunch. Registration begins Friday at 6 p.m. with the Conference beginning at 7 p.m.

Gospel concert

A Gospel Concert will be held at McLaughlin Dr. Church of the Nazarene, 229 McLaughlin Dr. on May 24 at 7 p.m. with the musical guests "The Revival Men Quartet". A freewill offering to be taken and refreshments will follow.

Rummage Sale

A rummage sale will be held Saturday, May 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. John's United Church basement. The church is located at 75 Alma St.

English tea

An English Tea is being held on Saturday, May 24 at Humphrey Memorial United Church, 95 Massey Ave. There will be 2 sittings the first from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the second, 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $8.00 each with a limited number being sold.

Stoney Creek memorial service

The annual memorial service for the Stoney Creek Cemetery will be held at the church May 25 at 2:30 p.m.

The service will feature special music and a lunch will follow.

Cemetery meeting

The annual meeting of the Lower Cape Mountain View Cemetery will be held on Monday May 26 at 7 p.m. in the Vestry of the Lower Cape Baptist Church.

Lobster or ham supper

St. Jude's in Salisbury is holding their annual lobster or ham supper Friday May 30, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Only advance tickets are available. The cost is $17 for lobster and $8 for ham.

Store anniversary

The Vision Bookstore is a non-profit organization working under the auspices of the Archdiocese of Moncton.

On Saturday May 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. there will be an open house to celebrate the Vision Bookstore's 11th anniversary.

The store is located at 452 Amirault St. in Dieppe.

All books and cds in stock will be reduced by 15 per cent.

Lobster take-out

A lobster take-out will be held Saturday, June 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mountain View United Church located at 85 MacBeath Ave. The price of this dinner is $16 and includes a 1lb lobster in the shell, potato salad, coleslaw, roll and sweets. Power conference

A power conference will be held June 12 to 14 at Moncton Faith Victory Church, 229 Collishaw St. Guest speakers will be Pastor Morris Watson, senior pastor of Victory Christian Fellowship in Lethbridge, Alberta and national chairman of Victory Churches of Canada International and Pastor Dave Meyers, lead pastor of Royal Oak Victory Church. Workshop with Dr. Janet Ruffing

Dr. Janet Ruffing is conducting a workshop from Friday, July 25 at 7 p.m. to Sunday, July 27 at 1 p.m. at the Tatamagouche Centre.

Cost of the workshop is $360 and includes meals and accommodations.

Policy change for courses

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Moncton wishes to advise engaged couples to please contact their parishes, not the archdiocese, to arrange for marriage preparation courses.

Marriage prep-courses are required by the archdiocese. A change in policy now requires the engaged couples to go to their respective parish, not the archdiocese, to arrange to take the course.

Chorale practice

The Greater Moncton Chorale will be holding its practices at Central United Church, 150 Queen St., every Monday at 7 p.m. Membership fee is $50 per term.

The chorale is well known for a wide variety of repertoire, including major choral works, jazz arrangements, sacred anthems and show tunes. Everyone welcome.

Bible study

Pianist wanted

The McLaughlin Drive Church of the Nazarene, located at 229 McLaughlin Drive is looking for a pianist for the months of July and August 2008. They are needed each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. during the Morning Service. Please contact Pastor Liz Wall at 856-5037 for more information.
