Helix to play the Rodeo

The Canadian rock band Helix is taking the stage of the Rockin' Rodeo this Sunday night.
The band is a tenured group of rockers who have been together for more than 30 years, although the only original band member is lead vocalist, Brian Vollmer.
The band, which hails from Kitchener, Ont., is now comprised of five members.
Brian Vollmer as lead vocalist, Paul Fonseca on bass guitar, Jim Lawson is a lead guitarist as is Rick VanDyk, and Brent Niemi is the drummer.
Since 1974, Helix have developed an impressive career. Of their 10 studio albums, four of them have gone gold and two of them have gone platinum.
They've been nominated for two Juno Awards, Canada's most prestigious music award. Both nominations occurred in 1984-1985, one for band of the year and one for album of the year. They are also one of the only bands who have performed in both London England's Old Marquee and New Marquee.
Tickets for this Sunday's show are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Doors to the show open at 8 p.m. and attendees must be 19 years of age or older.
