Award-winning country singer Johnny Reid to perform in Moncton, Monday, Nov. 17, at the Capitol Theatre and in Saint John Wednesday, Nov. 19 at the Club Monte Carlo. The Beaumont Committee is holding its summer entertainment program entitled Les Airs D'Ete a Beaumont at the Sainte-Anne-de-Beaumont Chapel at 7:30 p.m. in Memramcook. Baie Verte (near Port Elgin) is holding its 10th annual Winegarden Festival Sunday, Aug. 10, official kick off at noon by the Sackville Citizen Brass Band in the Festival Barn next to the Winery on Route 970 in Baie Verte. Other entertainers are the Blue Grass Band Nothing Fancy and The Richard Family. The Tantramar Twirlers will perform one or two dances during the afternoon. The Moncton Museum and Thomas Williams House is holding summer workshops for children aged 6-10 years old on a variety of educational themes. Price is $10 per child per workshop. Workshops at the Thomas Williams House run Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and from 2-4 p.m.; Wednesdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. through the months of July and August. Workshops at the Moncton Museum will be held twice a week beginning Wednesday, July 23. Registration at desired location.
