Woman fired over Timbit

LONDON, Ont. - Giving a free Timbit to a baby has cost a single mother of four her job.

Nicole Lilliman, 27, was fired yesterday from her Tim Hortons job in this southwestern Ontario city for giving one of the 16-cent blobs of fried dough to a tot who came in with a regular customer. Giving food away free is against the rules, said Tim Hortons district manager Nicole Mitchell.

They throw out dozens and dozens of everything they have as far as food and they fire her for a timbit given to a baby. Mad Mad World.

I go to tims every day with my dog and they always give 2 free timbits, and not the plain ones(as my dog wont eat them) always honey dipped so @ $0.16*2=$0.32*365 days=$116.80(my dogs 5 yeasr old) so *5 = $584.00. SHE SHOULD SUE TIM HORTONS

That's why Tims profits are up,tha's how these corporations get rich,if they lose a penny ,someone goes home...and goes to show how much they really care about the customer...gets fired for giving a baby a Timbit.
They just want your $ every single penny.

Tim Horton's should be ashamed of themselves!!! First off, if it was a regular customer, i'm sure that customer has left lots of tips in the past and has paid for that timbit over and over.

Secondly....IT'S A FREAKIN TIMBIT!! They give them away to dogs ALL THE TIME! Christ, if they want their $.16, i'm sure she would have given it to them rather than lose her job!

This is definitely a black mark for Tim Horton's!!

This sounds like the manager was waiting for her to make a mistake, any mistake, in order to fire her. Experience tells me there is more here than meets the eye.
