Two hurt in ATV crash near Caraquet

CARAQUET - Two people were injured when the driver of an all-terrain vehicle lost control earlier this week on Lavigne Road in Maltempec, a small community located near Caraquet.

The incident happened on Tuesday around 5 p.m.

The driver, a man in his fifties from the Caraquet area, was taken to the Tracadie-Sheila Hospital for treatment of his non life-threatening injuries. The passenger, who is from the same area, was not transported to the hospital.

Alcohol may have been a factor in this crash. Caraquet RCMP is continuing its investigation.
