Two charged with making, distributing child porn in moncton area

A man and woman charged with making and distributing child pornography in the Moncton area pleaded guilty yesterday to charges stemming from their 2006 arrests.
Both of the accused appeared in Moncton’s Court of Queen’s Bench to make guilty pleas yesterday on the five charges against them which include the possession and distribution of child pornography as well as corrupting a child.
A publication ban prevents the names of the two people charged from being revealed, along with any other information that might connect or identify the young girl involved. Before entering their guilty pleas, the man and women both elected to have their mode of trial be through Court of Queen’s Bench judge. Justice Zoël Dionne adjourned the case until Sept. 26 when pre-sentencing will begin.
Crown prosecutor Karen Lee Lamrock says the victim in the case will be given the opportunity to offer a victim impact statement at that time.
