Support for Single Parents Inc.'s new home is at 178 Albert St.

Support for Single Parents Inc. of Moncton is holding an open house Dec. 10 at its new location at 178 Albert St., followed by its 26th annual general meeting.
The theme of the open house is thanking its volunteers for 26 years of support.
Refreshments and doors prizes are planned with the open house occurring from 4 to 6 p.m. and the general meeting at 6 p.m. All are welcome.
The non-profit support group was previously located in the United Church manse on Queen Street.
It now occupies the second floor of the building at 178 Albert Street with the Turning Point Youth Centre occupying the ground floor.
The new location meant that all of Support for Single Parents operations could occupy the same floor, said a spokesman.
There is also ample parking and access to public transit service.
Programs at the centre include providing effective parenting, helping people handle emotion more effectively in their daily life, helping participants boost their self-esteem and helping women survive sexual abuse or abusive relationships.
