
Westmorland institution confirms H1N1 case

DORCHESTER - Westmorland Institution is currently operating on a on a modified routine as a result of a H1N1 flu virus positive case and some suspected cases.
Immunization of inmates identified as priority groups by the Public Health Agency Canada at Westmorland Institution was completed on Oct. 29. The facility will return to a normal routine once health authorities determine that it is safe to do so. Regularly scheduled visits are cancelled. Officials say ensuring the safety and security of institutions, staff and the public remains the highest priority in the operations.
