Miramichi setting up wellness advisory board

MIRAMICHI - The City of Miramichi Department of Community Wellness and Recreation has established a 10-member advisory board that will be tasked with fielding public input and assisting the department in the development of community recreation, wellness and park services. Larry Flanagan will chair the board with Mike LeBlanc as vice-chairman and Doug Cooling as secretary. Rounding out the board are Hedley Doak, Harold Donaher, Mary Jane Hickey, Karrie McCarthy, Lucy McCray, Michael Mersereau, and B.J. Young. Councillors Jason Harris and Joan Cripps, along with department director Suzanne Watters, will attend all board meetings. Public feedback can be sent to the board via e-mail at recreation@miramichi.org. The board is scheduled to hold its next meeting in January.
