COLE HARBOUR, N.S. - A Halifax-area high school has suspended 26 students after brawling that resulted in two arrests.
The fights started late Tuesday morning inside Cole Harbour District High School before spilling into the parking lot.
Two students were taken to hospital with minor facial injuries.
Shaune MacKinlay, a school board spokeswoman, says the 26 students, who were all directly involved in the fights, have been suspended for five days.
RCMP, which have been patrolling the school since the incident, say the two students who were arrested have been released from custody.
Cpl. Joe Taplin says the investigation is ongoing and charges are anticipated.
