UN chief Ban Ki-moon frustrated by Myanmar junta

UNITED NATIONS - The UN Secretary General says he is frustrated at the failure of Myanmar's military government to open its political process.

Ban Ki-moon is urging the junta to take tangible steps to include opponents.

Ban's comments come as his special envoy to Myanmar, Ibrahim Gambari told council members his recent visit fell below UN expectations, particularly over the release of political prisoners and the resumption of a dialogue between government and Suu Kyi.
