Premier hears the N.B. public
Published Wednesday October 8th, 2008

New Brunswick Premier Shawn Graham was admirably clear Monday during an editorial board meeting with the Times & Transcript: he is committed to supporting a major downtown development such as a Metro Centre, he is actively moving ahead with plans to twin Highway 11 between Shediac and the Miramichi, and he is seeking a reasonable solution to the Salisbury agency liquor store situation.
If Mr. Graham is true to his word on these and the previous commitment to provide home heating assistance for low income families very soon -- and we don't believe he'd have made the commitments if he didn't intend to act -- then it is a clear and praiseworthy indication that the premier is in fact listening to the public.
We have criticized the premier, and we think rightly so, for not listening to the public's wishes regarding high gas prices and the province's regulatory formula, and for his government's stand on uranium mining and nuclear waste disposal. But on these issues, Premier Graham does have a hand on the pulse of the province and is responding appropriately. Citizens have been heard.

No question he's a man of his word Mr. T&T Editor. The word must have come down on high (from Saint John) that the Irving rags officialy love Shawnocchio..................
We'll be back to higher taxes for all (i.e GST, taxes on gasoline for all instead of road tolls), dumber kids (edu-ma-cation, cut spending), less health care (got to cut spending!), more people in jail (that should cost less for everyone!) and less jobs (remember the 80's, Dick Hatfield and Mulroney, yea NOT good times!).
NB is, and always has been, a HAVE province.
