Stars and Hey Rosetta! to perform Oct. 30

Two acclaimed musical groups, Stars ad Hey Rosetta!, will be performing in Moncton on Oct. 30 promoting their new albums.

The Montreal-based Stars will be playing songs from their latest release In Our Bedroom After The War which is in the running for the Polaris Music Prize album of the year. The annual award recognized creativity and diversity in Canadian recorded music.

The group was nominated for 2004 and 2005 Juno Awards for alternative album of the year for their albums Heart and Set Yourself On Fire and have received international acclaim for In Our Bedroom After The War.

This summer, Stars were among headlining acts at the Summersonic Outdoor Music Festival in Halifax, the Glastonbury Festival in the United Kingdom, Accelerator Festival in Sweden and the Ottawa Flues Fest.

Hey Rosetta!, a Newfoundland alternative pop-rock group, was nominated for the 2008 ECMA Award for group recording of the year. They are promoting their latest album Into Your Lungs which is up for Best Album at XM Satellite Radio's The Verge Music Award. The group has been nominated for best artist.

The Moncton concert takes place at The Manhattan beginning at 9 p.m. Doors open at 8 p.m.
