Commandos host Ramblers this afternoon at the Arthur-J. LeBlanc Centre

SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. - The Dieppe Gagnon Commandos continued their streak of inconsistency in Maritime Junior A Hockey League play as they split a pair of games in the league's annual showcase weekend.
The Commandos, who have yet to win two straight games in the early going of this season, fell to the Yarmouth Bearcats 6-5 on Saturday before they downed the Truro Bearcats 5-2 yesterday.
All 11 league teams played a pair of regular season games over three days at the event. All games were two 25-minute periods and they counted in the MJAHL standings.
Despite the weekend split, Dieppe head coach Troy Dumville said the team is starting to show signs of improvement.
"We were disappointed with the loss Saturday but today we played by far our best game of the year. To me Truro is one of the best teams in the league and we played an excellent, excellent game against them," he said.
"You start to question sometimes if you're doing things right or wrong, but the way we played (against Truro) at least there's a little renewed optimism going into (today's game)."
Dieppe hosts the Amherst Ramblers today at 2:30 p.m. at the Arthur-J. LeBlanc Centre.
