Cody Hobart wins Miramichi race

MIRAMICHI - Cody Hobart of Grand Bay-Westfield captured the box title with a .502 light at Miramichi Dragway Park Sunday. Kandy Mitton of Sussex placed second.

With no delay box, Bruce Howatt of Charlottetown finished first and Mark Howes of Rothesay was second.

Junior dragsters ran a double knockout event which saw Chris Hobart of Grand Bay-Westfield taking first place while Braxton Stafford of Blackville was second.

Racing resumes at the dragway June 26-28. Also, every Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. is TNT Tuesday, sponsored by Ikon Wheels, at the dragway. For $20, drivers can see how fast their cars are on the quarter-mile strip.
