Published Thursday June 18th, 2009

A man appeared in Moncton provincial court yesterday and was charged with a dozen offences, including three break-ins at Riverview churches.
Alexandre Frederick Caissie has been in custody since his arrest on June 10 and was originally charged with a single break and enter.
A series of charges were added yesterday, including nine counts of possession of stolen property.
Codiac RCMP Const. Damien Theriault says many of the charges relate to items taken from parked cars on June 9 in Riverview.
Two of the break and enters occurred the night of May 30.
One was at the Whitepine Baptist Church at 153 Canusa Drive, while the other was at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church at 5 Fatima Drive.
The third break-in occurred June 8 at the Riverview Baptist Church at 301 Philip Road.
Theriault says the churches suffered minimal damage in the break-ins, but the thieves made off with electronics and musical instruments.
The case was set over until July 9 for election.
