HALIFAX - Police have seized a bullet-riddled, rented SUV that was shot up at a Tim Hortons in Halifax this week.
Officers went to the Lady Hammond Road coffee shop late Wednesday after a gun-wielding man fired five to seven times at two people involved in an apparent argument.
Const. Brian Palmeter of Halifax Regional said a man in a silver sport utility vehicle was arguing with a woman in a silver car when a second man with a gun appeared.
Shots were fired and the man and the woman drove off in their vehicles.
The police canine unit was unable to locate the shooter, but officers found the empty SUV parked in Bedford a short time later.
Officers recovered shell casings from the parking lot.
