RENOUS - The Canadian Red Cross is assisting a Renous woman and her daughter who were left homeless in a fire Monday.

The organization said the two lost all of their belongings in the fire at 3032 Route 108, west of Renous.

The women, who were not injured, have since found temporary shelter and the Canadian Red Cross has arranged for emergency clothing, food and personal-care items, said a spokesman for the organization.

The Renous, Sunny Corner and Blackville fire departments responded to the fire.
