
Cavs drop Knights in opener

BOUCTOUCHE - The Clément-Cormier Cavaliers opened the Eastern Conference boys high school hockey season with a 7-0 win over the Moncton High Purple Knights here last night.
It was the first game of the regular season.
The Cavaliers received two goals from Michel Richard, Danis Gallant and Jason Maillet and one from Ghislain Allain.
Sébastien LeBlanc stopped 22 shots for the shutout. Robbie Roos made 35 saves for the Purple Knights.
Bernice MacNaughton Highlanders host the Tantramar Titans tonight at 7:45 p.m. at Tim Hortons 4-Ice Centre.
