2009 Multimedia Graphic Design and Development students from CompuCollege in Moncton is holding one-day show today from 2-6 p.m. at the Coastal Inn Champlain, 502 Kennedy St. Theme is Casino.

The City of Moncton is offering its annual Art Gallery Tour (previously called Art Studio Tours) Saturday, Nov. 7, from noon-5 p.m. During the tour local galleries will be open to welcome the public into their spaces. The program, free of charge, will include interpretations of galleries current exhibits, meet the artists events, a silent auction, live art demonstration, a chance for the public to try a painting technique and more. Galerie Sans Nom is exhibiting Jalkeilla Taas (Up and About Again) by Maarit Suomi-Vaananen and Scenes From a Secret World by Amalie Atkins until Friday, Dec. 11. The opening will be held the first Friday of the exhibition at 8 p.m. Admission to all exhibitions are free and galleries are open Tuesday to Friday, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. or by appointment on Saturday. The Moncton Gallery is exhibiting selected works from the City of Moncton Collection of Fine Arts until Thursday, Nov. 5. Moncton's Galerie Sans Nom at 140 Botsford St. presents an exhibit by photography students from Université de Moncton's visual arts department entitled Etre et Par. Owens Art Gallery is exhibiting The Art of Copy organized by Mount Allison University art historian Anne Koval and Owens Art Gallery Fine Art Conservator Jane Tisdale Sunday, Dec. 6. Until Friday, Dec. 4, Gordon Monahan's Theremin Pendulum will be exhibited in the Owen's Highwall Gallery. The opening reception will be Saturday, Oct. 24, at 5 p.m. all welcome. The Moncton Public Library during the month of November the library is displaying the art works of Jeanne LeBlanc Mullin and Shayla Parreault Newcomb as part of the Mentor Series during the month of November. The glass display cases will feature Belly Castings by Lidia Branch during the month of November. The Irish Room, located in historic Thomas Williams House is open every Friday from 9 a.m.-noon and from 1-3 p.m. and houses genealogical and local history materials related to the Irish in southeastern NB. The Beaverbrook Art Gallery is presenting various exhibits. Until January 4, 2010, permanent collection in the East Wing entitled The Beaverbrook Art Gallery Krieghoff Collection. Impressionist Masterworks from the National Gallery of Canada exhibition will be displayed until January 4, 2010. There is a special exhibition fee for Impressionist Masterworks from the National Gallery of Canada.
