N.B. man wins car in contest

New Brunswicker Alan McNeil of Tide Head was the first in Canada to win a new car from the Diet Pepsi Max Your Ride contest.

Pepsi announced yesterday that McNeil has won a Mazda3 Sport GT plus $2,500 in an options allowance to customize the car. He was the first in Canada to be a winner in the contest.

"This is the ride of my life," McNeil said. "With transportation and fuel costs at a premium, this will definitely help me to enjoy my summer."

The contest runs until mid-July and people can enter online for a chance to win one of seven Mazda3 Sport GT vehicles. There are also 1,500 gas cards worth $25 in fuel to be won.
