CORNWALL, Ont. - A berth in a semifinal will be on the line when the Pictou County Weeks Crushers take to the ice today at the Royal Bank Cup national junior A hockey championship.

The Eastern champion Crushers -- who feature Moncton's Jason Rinzler and Jevin MacLellan -- play the Western champion Humboldt Broncos in their final round robin game this afternoon. Both teams are 1-2.

The Pacific champion Camrose Kodiacs (3-0) sit atop the standings, followed by the host Cornwall Colts (2-2) while Pictou County (1-2), Humboldt (1-2) and the Central champion Oakville Blades (1-2) are tied for third. The top four teams following the round robin will advance to semifinals on Saturday.

Pictou County can clinch a spot in a semifinal with a win over Humboldt today. It can also advance if Oakville loses to Camrose tonight.

In yesterday's games, Camrose locked up a semifinal berth with a 2-1 victory over Cornwall while Oakville won a wild 7-6 victory over Humboldt.

The championship game on Sunday will be broadcast at 2 p.m. on TSN.
