Colts back on track

The following are my NFL game picks for Week 11 of the season. They are strictly done on which teams I think will win and which ones I think will lose -- not with or against the odds. With an 11-3 finish in last week's games, I am going into Week 11 with a 94-50 record. I'm hoping to continue the good roll. So, here goes:

Denver at Atlanta: Take Atlanta. The Broncos, with their defensive woes this year, need a lot of points to win a game. But unlike the Broncos, the surprise Falcons can both score and play defence.

Houston at Indianapolis: Take Indianapolis. The Colts have quietly disposed of two tough AFC teams in the last two weeks -- the Patriots and Steelers. They seem to be back on track.

Tennessee at Jacksonville: Take Jacksonville. The Titans barely beat their AFC South rivals (the Jaguars) earlier this year in Tennessee. I expect the Jaguars to return the favour this week in Jacksonville.

Oakland at Miami: Take Miami. The Raiders are like a ship in a storm right now with wacky Al Davis at the helm.

Baltimore at New York Giants: Take New York. This game could be a trap for the Giants, as they will be facing their toughest defence, yet, in the Ravens. But it is hard to bet against an 8-1 team.

Detroit at Carolina: Take Carolina. The Lions are badly overmatched in this one. The Panthers have only lost two games all year and are not likely to be hijacked by the toothless Lions.

Philadelphia at Cincinnati: Take Philadelphia. The Eagles are having problems generating much offence of late, but their defence should be enough to put away the hapless Bengals.

Chicago at Green Bay: Take Green Bay. This is a marquis match-up in the bruising NFC North division. But the Rex Grossman (the Bears' quarterback) factor should kick in, to the benefit of the Packers.

New Orleans at Kansas City: Take New Orleans. The Saints, with their charged-up passing attack, should have a field day against the Chiefs' weak defence.

Minnesota at Tampa Bay: Take Tampa Bay. This game should pit two good defences against each other. But the Vikes, an indoor team, do not fare well outside, regardless of the weather conditions.

St. Louis at San Francisco: Take San Francisco: New coach Mike Singletary has put a scare into the previously lack-lustre '49ers, to where they almost upset Arizona on Monday night. So, there still should be enough fear left over to allow them to knock off the Rams who, with the exception of a brief, two-week resurgence, have been lousy all year.

Arizona at Seattle: Take Seattle. The Cardinals were able to beat the '49ers Monday night in Arizona. But away from the desert, they have a tendency to disappear.

San Diego at Pittsburgh: Take Pittsburgh. The Chargers barely beat the woeful Chiefs (20-19) last Sunday at home. This week, they face a much stronger opponent and on the road.

Dallas at Washington: Take Washington. Even with the return of Tony Romo, the Cowboys are still a team in disarray. Besides, it may be too much to ask of Romo to beat a tough NFC East division rival on the road in his first game back from injury.

Cleveland at Buffalo: Take Cleveland. Both teams are under-achieving -- big time. But the Browns, at least, are putting up some points.
