Patriots ready for Dolphins

The following are my NFL game picks for Week 12 of the season. They are done strictly on which teams I think will win and which ones I think will lose -- not with or against the odds. With my correct pick on Thursday's game, my record for the season is now 105-55-1. Let's hope my luck continues into my weekend picks. Here goes:

Houston at Cleveland: Take Cleveland. The Texans are a lamentable 0-5 on the road this year. Also, I think the Browns will get a bounce from their hard-fought win Monday against the Bills.

Buffalo at Kansas City: Take Buffalo. The Bills got off to a great start this year, but have been on a downward slide ever since. The Chiefs, however, have been on a downward slide the entire season.

New England at Miami: Take New England. The Dolphins blew away the Patriots in Foxborough in Week 3, throwing the so-called "wildcat" offence at them. The Pats will be prepared for it this time around.

New York Jets at Tennessee: Take Tennessee. I still don't think the Titans will pull off the perfect season. But I have found that picking against the 10-0 Tennessee team has not been a good strategy.

Carolina at Atlanta: Take Carolina. The Falcons have been a pleasant surprise for everyone this season. But they haven't reached the talent level of the Panthers, yet.

Philadelphia at Baltimore: Take Baltimore. This should be another good defensive battle for the Eagles. The Eagles' defence has been great all season, but unfortunately, their offence has been non-existent.

San Francisco at Dallas: Take Dallas. With the return of quarterback Tony Romo, the Cowboys seem to be back on track again.

Tampa Bay at Detroit: Take Tampa Bay. I feel the 0-10 Lions will win a game before the season is over. But they are not likely to do it against the tough Buccaneers' defence.

Minnesota at Jacksonville: Take Jacksonville. The Jaguars have been under-achieving all season. This is an absolutely must game for them and I think they will finally rise to the occasion.

Chicago at St. Louis: Take Chicago. The Bears will take the trouncing, which they received last week at the hands of the Packers, out this week on the lack-lustre Rams.

Oakland at Denver: Take Denver. If the Raiders' offence played as well their defence has all year, they would be in pretty good shape, right now. But unfortunately for them, they probably have the most anemic offence in the league.

New York Giants at Arizona: Take New York. The Cardinals are a very good home team, but not good enough to handle the powerful Giants' squad.

Washington at Seattle: Take Washington. The Seahawks are lucky to have two wins this year, based on the way they have played. Retiring Seahawk coach Mike Holgrum deserves a lot better than that.

Indianapolis at San Diego: Take Indianapolis. The Colts have rolled off three straight games and are playing their best football of the season. The Chargers are still back at the starting gate.

Green Bay at New Orleans: Take New Orleans. Both teams sport 5-5 records. However, the Saints are doing it in the tough NFC South division, while the Packers are doing it in the weak NFC North division.
