UdeM runner heads to CIS championship
Université de Moncton athlete Jean-Marc Doiron will be representing the UdeM Aigles Bleus at the Canadian Interuniversity Sport cross-country championships Saturday at Queen's University.
Doiron, who is from Collette, is the only Aigles Bleus member to participate. He will be accompanied by coach Joël Bourgeois.
Doiron finished 12th overall in the Atlantic University Sport championships in Halifax two weeks ago with a time of 35:06 in the 10 kilometre race, but says he's regained his confidence after shaving off over a minute from his fastest time at a 5 km race held last weekend in Miramichi. This is the first national university cross-country competition for the fourth year information-communication student.
