The Moncton Tim Hortons Cubs and Chatham Ironmen will have to wait another day to start the N.B. Junior Baseball League playoffs.

The opening game of their best-of-five semifinal was postponed last night at Kiwanis Park because of rain. It has been rescheduled for tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Kiwanis Park.

Games 2 and 3 will be played tomorrow at Ironmen Field in Miramichi. If necessary, Games 4 and 5 are scheduled for Sunday back in Moncton.

Meanwhile, the visiting Fredericton Royals beat the Bathurst Eagles 5-2 last night to take a 2-0 lead in the other best-of-five semifinal. The teams began the third game of the series immediately following Game 2 last night. Results were not available.
